1. Who we are
Datamac Limited (RC9546144), Lagos, Nigeria ("Datamac", "we", "us") is the data controller responsible for your personal data. Contact our data team at tech@datamac.i.ng.
2. What data we collect
We collect only what we need to provide our services: your name, email address, and phone number when you enrol, subscribe, or contact us; your payment reference (we never store card details — these are handled by Paystack); and basic, anonymised usage data (e.g. pages visited) where you consent to analytics cookies.
3. Lawful basis for processing
Under the NDPA we process your data on the basis of: your consent (e.g. newsletter, analytics cookies); contract (to deliver a programme you paid for); and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and improving our services.
4. How we use your data
To process enrolments and payments; to send you programme information, onboarding details, and the syllabus you requested; to respond to your messages; to send service-related and, with consent, marketing emails; and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — notably Paystack (payments) and our email/hosting providers — and only as needed. These providers are bound to protect your data.
6. Data retention
We keep enrolment and payment records for as long as required for accounting and legal purposes, and contact/marketing data until you ask us to delete it or withdraw consent.
7. Your rights under the NDPA
You have the right to access your data, correct it, request deletion, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent at any time, and request portability. To exercise any right, email tech@datamac.i.ng and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site and, only with your consent, analytics cookies to understand traffic. You can change your choice any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. See how our banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies.
9. Data security
We protect your data with HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure hosting. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
